WHY Vilnius City Theater OPEN RATAS this summer organizes creative workshops for the first time *** based on the Open Circle method *, which will be sponsored by the author of this method, director, theater teacher, professor Aida Giniotis ** of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.

WHY? Creative workshops will be for pupils from 16 to 19 years. The graduates of this year will also be able to attend.

HOW? The number of participants is limited, so those who will be happy to be invited will be invited to the creative workshop - everyone who wants to attend must fill out the questionnaire and wait for the answer. We are waiting for completed questionnaires by June 21 d. (inclusive), and we will inform the selected participants personally by June 25 d.

* The "Open Wheel" method is a universal way of knowing theater art. Here, people who sit around, remember and share the impressions of their lives, learn to convey them to others, telling autobiographical stories, and these turn into a kind of theatrical game involving all the participants. Everyone here can touch the actor's profession, try the drama writing process or just get acquainted with the alternative form of theater creation, which leads to a deeper knowledge of oneself and others.
Based on this method, 2004 m. Aidas Giniotis, the director and theater teacher Aidas Giniotis, together with the students of the LMTA II course, created a performance - autobiographical improvisations "Open Circle", which became a peculiar kind of business card created later by the theater laboratory.

Korenkaite "Escape to the Acropolis" (2008 m.), as well as the currently playing and indifferent "About the Man Who Killed the Swan" and biographical improvisations Rainwater - an performance that was also developed on the basis of the Open Wheel method.
